Mirwaiz pays tributes to slain Kreeri, Arwani militants

Srinagar : Hurriyat (M) Conference on Thursday paid glowing tributes to the two militants killed in Kreeri, Baramulla encounter and two more in Arwani, Bijbhera gunfight with the security forces stating that every day’s dance of death has exposed the GoI’s real face in Kashmir as state “terrorism” is on a full display with forces making the killing of Kashmiri youth under operation all-out as their regular feature.

The spokesman said that ultimate repression is also on to push the youth of Kashmir to the wall and leave them with no choice other than to choose armed means of resistance as their weapon to fight.

The Hurriyat said that priceless sacrifices are being offered by the youth of Kashmir on all fronts, the Government of India leaves no stone unturned to unleash the reign of terror by killing, maiming and thrashing the youth under the garb of CASO and instead of accepting the ground realities in Kashmir, the Government of India is dealing with the situation through its military might to instill fear among the people and to force them into submission. The Hurriyat said that of late, the situation has taken an ugly turn given the unabated increase in the killings, thrashing of youth and anti-people activities by the forces which is a great cause of concern. The Hurriyat said that peaceful won’t prevail in the region unless the Kashmir dispute is settled as per the wishes and aspirations of people of Kashmir.

The Hurriyat strongly denounced the continuous house detention of its chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at his Nigeen residence since past three weeks as a worst political vendetta stating that he is not even able to carry out his social, religious and political activities. The Hurriyat said that the continuous house confinement of Mirwaiz can’t break the resolve of resistance leadership and instead it would further strengthen their resolve to fight back.

The Hurriyat said that the arrest of many youth in nocturnal raids by the forces in Shopian that include Niyaz Ahmed Dar, Shabir Ahmed Sheikh Jehangir Ahmed Mir, Bilal Ahmed Dar, Showkat Ahmed Dar, Asif Ahmed Pal, Zaffar Fayaz, Muzamil Ahmed Sheikh and others, deserves all condemnation stating that using iron-fist policy against the youth will in no way resolve the issue and instead further deteriorate the situation.
