Srinagar : One of the two militants killed in a gunfight with a joint team of police and army in Kreeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district has been identified on Friday.
A police spokesman identified slain as Lashkar-e- Toiba militant Akeel Sofi a resident of Khanpora area of Baramulla district while the identity of another militant is still being ascertained.
“The slain militant had recently joined the militants,” he said.
Two militants were killed during a day-long gunfight with the forces in Athoora Kreeri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.
