Mirwaiz pays tributes to slain militants killed in south Kashmir

Srinagar : Hurriyat (M) Conference on Saturday paid glowing tributes to three militants killed in two separate gunfights in Tral and Pulwama—Anwar Ahmed, Liyaqat Wani and Wajidul Islam stating that the youth are spilling their blood on daily basis only to free their homeland.

The Hurriyat spokesman said that the sacrifices of youth are priceless assets of Kashmir’s freedom struggle which will be protected by the resistance leaders and the people of Kashmir on all fronts.

The Hurriyat said that it’s high time that the people of Kashmir forge unity and remain steadfastness so that the ongoing movement is taken to its logical conclusion.

Hurriyat also denounced the arrest of two students of Central University  Kashmir and termed their arrest as highly undemocratic adding, that forces are using their unbridled powers across Kashmir and now students too are being made targets which is highly condemnable.

The Hurriyat said that government instead of understanding the ground situation in Kashmir is banking on the “military might” to suppress the genuine aspirations of people through fear and intimidations.

Meanwhile, the Hurriyat chairman and Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will deliver a sermon on the occasion of Khawja Digar ( congregational Asr prayers) at the shrine of Hazrat Khawja Naqahsband (RA) Khawja Bazar on Monday (3 Rabiul Awal) where he will shed light on the life of revered saint and also talk about the importance of Islamic month Rabiul Awal, in which beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was born.
