In Maharashtra, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, PMAY is changing lives of people by fulfilling their long awaited dreams of owning a house. The scheme was launched by the Central Government in 2015 with an aim to provide an affordable housing to the poor.
Our correspondent filed a ground report from Aurangabad. He reported that in Maharashtra, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is being implemented successfully. Under the scheme, as many as 11,778 beneficiaries have received the benefits of this scheme in Parbhani district.
These beneficiaries have been provided ready to live constructed houses by the government. Panchapal Chavan, a resident of village Kawada in Jintur Tahsil of Parbhani district told that the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana has fulfilled his dream of owning a house.
The central scheme is benefitting both rural as well as urban people in the state. Under this scheme, the state has already built 2.50 lakh houses and allotted it to the beneficiaries. Now the government has fixed the target of building more than 6 lakh houses under this scheme.
