Shooting incident in Gandhi Nagar, FIR registered. Complainants claim not supported by CCTV footage.

In a bizarre incident which happened in Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu district the concerned police station has received a complaint regarding a shooting incident which supposedly took place under its jurisdiction.

Gandhi Nagar police has received a complaint from Satya Jeet s/o Bushan Kumar resident of Vikas Nagar Patoli, Jammu along with two other complainants that on the intervening night of 10 th and 11 th November they were fired upon. In a detailed complaint they claimed that on the fateful day when they were in Gandhi Nagar area at around 2 am and had parked their vehicle JK02BU 6792 outside 6 B/C, Near Park, Gandhi Nagar they had an altercation with a person named Asim Ghai and two more unknown persons from 6 B/C , Gandhi Nagar house fired three rounds on them from their pistol at them.

Police has registered an FIR under section 341 and 506 of Ranbir Penal Code along with Arms Act 1959 and investigation has been initiated in this case.

Epilogue News Network has access to CCTV footage which establishes that a car was parked at the location mentioned by the complainants at around same time, however while observing the footage there is no sign of gun shots being fired. Our Network contacted the respective police station where the case has been registered, however police sources denied any information in this case considering the case is under investigation and it is too early to comment on the proceedings.

After confronting with the CCTV evidence, police did acknowledge that it appears no shots were fired as claimed by the complainants.
