Union Minister Ananth Kumar to be cremated with full state honours in Bengaluru today

Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ananth Kumar will be cremated with full state honours in Bengaluru today. The mortal remains of Mr Kumar will be taken to BJP State Office on Tuesday morning for party workers to pay their last respects.

The body would then be shifted to National College Ground in Bengaluru for public to pay their tributes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his last respects to Mr Kumar at the departed leader’s residence in Basavanagudi last night.

The last rites would be performed in the afternoon.

According to reports that Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and Home Minister Rajnath Singh will come to Bangalore in the afternoon and pay last respects to the departed soul.

BJP President Amit Shah will attend the funeral. Cremation will be held with full state honours. The 59-year-old BJP leader, who was suffering from cancer, passed away in Bengaluru yesterday.
