Internet services suspended in Shopian, clashes reported

Srinagar : To avoid any untoward incident, authorities on Tuesday suspended the mobile internet service in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

An official said that the decision was taken as a precautionary measure, to avoid untoward incidents like protests. An official added that telecom operators have been asked to suspend the services.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that clashes between the people and security forces are going on near the gunfight site in Shopian.
