Kerala Assembly disrupted for 3rd day on Sabarimala issue

In Kerala, the Congress-led opposition UDF disrupted proceedings in the state Assembly for the third consecutive day today, demanding discussion on the Sabarimala Temple issue, leading to an early adjournment of proceedings.

As soon as Question Hour began, UDF MLAs rushed to the speaker’s podium raising slogans demanding a withdrawal of Section 144 prohibitory orders in Sabarimala Temple complex and protection of faith of pilgrims.

As the members continued their sloganeering the speaker ended the proceedings and adjourned the House for the day.
