74% voter turnout recorded for Rajasthan Assembly elections; 67% reported in Telangana

Polling was completed peacefully for the Assembly Elections in Rajasthan and Telangana yesterday. Around 74 percent voter turn out was recorded for 199 assembly seats in Rajasthan.

In Telangana, 67 percent voter turn out was recorded for 119 assembly seats. Election was countermanded on Ramgarh assembly constituency of Rajasthan due to death of the candidate.

Counting of votes in both the states will be taken up on Tuesday along with Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram. In Chhattisgarh, two-phase polling was held for 18 assembly seats on 12th November and for 72 seats on 20th November.

In Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram single-phase, polling was held on 28th November. Madhya Pradesh has 230 assembly seats and Mizoram has 40.
