Pakistan on Thursday termed as “a matter of grave concern” the terror attack on a CRPF convoy in Kashmir which was carried out by Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit based in Pakistan.
In a statement, Pakistan Foreign Ministry said, “We have always condemned acts of violence anywhere in the world.”
In the attack in Pulwama, around 40 CRPF personnel were killed.
Soon after, JeM, which is based in Pakistan and backed by the Pakistani administration, claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was carried out by its suicide bomber,
After the dastardly act, India demanded that the UN should ban JeM and it’s chief Masood Azhar who roams freely in Pakistan.
In a statement, Indian External Affairs Ministry said all UN member countries should support a proposal for listing Azhar as an international terrorist and proscribe him.
