Security forces launched a search operation in wee hours after getting the Intel outputs about the presence of some militants hiding in the pinglan area, which is only few kilometers away from the location of Pulwama’s suicidal terror attack took place.
During the search the operation, two Jais-e-mohammad wanted militants fired upon the security forces from a house and than security forces indulge into an encounter.
Later today afternoon, an army spokesperson confirmed the death of two wanted militants, one of the militant is believed to be the mastermind of 14 feb car bombing suicidal attack in which 44 CRPF personnel were killed. He also confirmed the martyrdom of 4 soldiers including 1 major in today’s encounter.
A civilian also reported to be killed in the gunfight between soldiers and slain militants.
