J&K: 1 CRPF constable injured in grenade attack




At least one CRPF constable has been injured after terrorists hurled a grenade at a CRPF battalion on Friday in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.

More details are awaited about the attack on the D/43 battalion of the CRPF at Namithal.

This is the third such grenade attack in as many days, in the valley.

On January 31, four civilians and one CRPF personnel were injured after terrorists lobbed a grenade near Shairbagh police station in Anantnag.

A day before that, three civilians were injured when terrorists hurled a grenade on a police station in Damhal Hanji Pora in Kulgam in the state.

Earlier on January 8, the Lok Sabha was informed that as many as 183 civilians were killed in terrorist-related incidents in Jammu and Kashmir in the last four years, while 300 terrorists are active in the state.
