Sub Divisional Magistrate Jammu north holds Public Darbar at village Gorda
Taking forward the public outreach programme launched by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Mr Ramesh Kumar IAS, Sub Divisional Magistrate Jammu North Mr Satish Kumar Sharma, KAS along with Tehsildar Bhalwal Mr Rafiq Ahmad Jaral, KAS and all line departments,convened a Public Darbar at village Gorda; in which all the officers of Sub Division North were present. The public grievances were patiently heard and resolved them on the spot.
The main issues raised by the public at large were pertaining to road connectivity, electricity, water supply, shortage of staff at Government High School Gorda, payments under MGNREGA, Non-availability of Naib Tehsildar Mathwar, Aadhar seedling of Rashan Card and issuance of new Rashan Cards,and non-functioning Anganwadi centers. Mainly the memorandum of demands and problems were put forth by Sarpanch Panchayat Gorda Mr Ashwani Kumar. Besides him, peoplefrom adjoining villages viz Lassu, Dhung, Chakhar, Dhanu, and Baganiattended the public meeting and apprised the Officers about their problems. Tehsildar Bhalwal and officers of other departments responded the grievances raised by them and redressed on the spot. Later Sub Divisional Magistrate Jammu North also addressed the public and issued various certificates like PRC, Income, category certificates on the spot without asking for unnecessary formalities, besides inheritance mutations were also attested by Tehsildar Bhalwal. On this occasion, Block Development Officer Mathwar Ms. Shalni Raina,Block Medical Officer Bhalwal Dr Manzoor Hussain, AEE PWD Mr Rohit Puri, AE PHE, Tehsil Supply Officer Bhalwal Mr Sat Paul and officials of Agriculture, PHE, social Forestry, ICDS etc. were present. Block Development Officer Mathwar Shalni Raina, and Block Medical Officer Bhalwal Mr Manzoor Hussain also spoke. BMO Bhalwal Mr Hussain awared the public about various diseases and precautions to be taken.
SDM Jammu North, Mr Sharma interacted with the public patiently, which was appreciated by the public loudly and requested him for organizing such camps at other places too. While talking to the media, Mr Sharma said that today’s public hearing is organized on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Jammu to deliver the services at the door step of public. Similar public hearings will be organized in other villages as well, Mr Sharma added.
