Dr.M.K.Teng political scientist who pioneered new ways of thinking about the resolution of Kashmir conflict and launched some of the innovative academic endeavors to study the cause of kashmir conflict breathed his last today at Jammu.
Dr.Teng was a prolific scholar and one of the preeminent South Asian specialists of his generation. His deep commitment to using insights from academic research to inform policy deliberations and solve important problems related to international relations and security led him to inspire several organisations and schools of thought. These institutions supported collective undertakings involving scholars ,activists and philosophers from all over the globe and inspired many to follow his lead to make a tangible difference towards achieving their cherished goals.
He is credited with scripting Margdarshan Resolution 1991 which has become the ideological drive for the Panun Kashmir movement. Margdarshan Resolution envisages a geo political dispensation inside kashmir valley under free flow of Indian Constitution.
