Panun Kashmir organised a grand public meet today to celebrate the Accession Day. The meet was attended by a galaxy of prominent citizens from cross section of the society. The Kashmiri pandit community was jubilant during the celebrations and termed the celebrations akin to Diwali before Diwali as it was on this day on 26th October 1947 ,the last ruler of the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir signed the same standard form of Instrument of accession that was signed by all other rulers after the exit of the British rulers.
Glowing tributes were paid to Pandit Kripa Ram Dutt who led a delegation of prominent Kashmiri Pandits to Guru Tegh Bahadur against the atrocities of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.
Speaking on the occasion, Shailendra Aima, vice-chairman, Panun Kashmir said, “There has been a consistent onslaught of the Anglo Muslim alliance that engineered the dismantling of the northern frontier and Jammu and Kashmir was in the forefront of that onslaught. It was with all grit and dedication that this frontier was held as the civilizational bulwark by the Kashmiri Pandits, Dogras and Sikhs. Time has come to see the happenings in continuity and defeat jihad in totality.”
Prominent social activist Pyare Lal koul Badgami said, “After the revocation of article 370 and abrogation of 35 A time has come to introspect as where we stand as a community. The fruits of Indian democracy have not reached the religiously cleansed Kashmiri Pandits as yet. The return and rehabilitation of the community can be realised only when Margdarshan Resolution 91 is applied in letter and spirit and a separate homeland with union territory status carved out in Kashmir to rehabilitate the community.”
Dr.Agnishekher ,Convenor, Panun Kashmir while explaining the importance of the accession day for the nationalist KP community said, “Time has come to assert and take the goal of homeland to its logical conclusion and remain well guarded so that the aesthetic value of Kashmir as the civilizational continuity of Bharat adding the role of Panun Kashmir has increased manifold when the narrative about Jammu and Kashmir has to be set the right path national resurgence to defeat jihad.” Dr Agnishekhar specifically gave examples how concoctions and corruptions to the indigenous moorings were impacted by the Islamic theofascists to usurp local tradition and culture. He added that tall claims are being made that everything connected with Kashmir has Islamic connect are nothing but blatant lies to inflict a sense of dehumanizing the aboriginal Kashmiri Hindu.
Dr. Ajay Chrungoo, Chairman, Panun Kashmir while congratulating the community on the celebrations of the accession day said, “This day holds a great significance for all the nationalist people of the erstwhile princely state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is day of celebration not only from the point of human value but from the point of survival battle. Panun Kashmir will not rest till the structure of the Islamic jihad and grand design of Muslimization is not dismantled so that there is a guarantee of non-refoulement. Kashmiri pandits are not victims of natural calamities likes flood and earth quake but the victims of genocide that has been denied and denial of genocide is tantamount to second destabilisation to bail out the persecutors of the community. Empowerment of the Kashmiri Pandits is not possible till a separate Homeland with UT status is carved out in Kashmir .And when the process of reorganisation of the state has been set in process after the bifurcation of the state, there should no hitch in carving out the Homeland with UT status in Kashmir to reverse their genocide.”
On this occasion a documentary on the genocide and religious cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits “Denial of Genocide akin to Double Genocide” was showcased. The documentary was conceived by Tito Ganju Editor Epilogue and law research scholar Vishwa Ranjan Pandita explained the background of the documentary. The documentary showcased a technical and legal argument to prove the case of Genocide which was appreciated by the entire audience.
The program was conducted by Dr. Mahesh Kaul and attended by various eminent personalities of the community.
