CBI conducts searches across India on allegations related to Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation

In a major crackdown, the Central Bureau of Investigation is today conducting searches at around 76 locations across the country in 14 States and Union Territories. CBI registered 23 separate cases on 14th of November against a total of 83 accused on the allegations related to Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation. These states and UTs include  Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh.

Two years back, the CBI set up an On-line Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation(OCSAE) Prevention and Investigation Unit at New Delhi under its Special Crime Zone.
