INDIA vs NZ second Cricket Test: Ajaz Patel blows three wickets, brings back New Zealand in-game

In the second Cricket Test match between India and New Zealand, which is being played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the hosts were 160 for 4, when the reports last came in.

Opting to bat first after the delayed start due to wet patches on the outfield and the pitch, the Indian openers added 80 runs for the first wicket before Ajaz Patel took three wickets in consecutive overs to bring New Zealand back in the game. Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Shubman Gill who added 44 runs were Ajaz’s three dismissals. Kohli and Pujara failed to impress yet again as they both were dismissed on ducks. Both the star batsmen haven’t registered a century since 2019. Shreyas Iyer also lost his wicket succumbing to Ajaz Patel delivery.
