Chandeep Singh bags Silver medal at Para World Taekwondo Championships

Para-Athlete Chandeep Singh has bagged Silver medal at Para World Taekwondo Championships and became first Para Athlete from J&K to achieve such a great place at World level. Para-Athlete Chandeep Singh has created history by clinching a Silver medal on Sunday in the Men’s plus 80 kg event at the 9th Para World Taekwondo Championships held at Istanbul in Turkey from 9th to 12th December 2021.

This is India’s first-ever medal in the history of Para-Taekwondo World Championship. However, the Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan has congratulated the International Para-Taekwondo Athlete, Chandeep Singh who created history by claiming silver medal. In his congratulatory message, the Advisor said that the athlete has proven his metal and in coming days he will bring more fame for J&K and the country as well. Worth to mention, Chandeep is first Para Athlete from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir who achieved such a great place in this Olympic sport at World level.
