Lok Sabha adjourned for the day amid MPs demand dismissal of MoS Ajay Kumar Mishra and abolition of NEET exam

The Lok Sabha has been adjourned for the day amid constant protest and sloganeering by opposition over different issues.

When the House reassembled at 2 pm after first adjournment opposition members again trooped into the Well of the Lower House demanding dismissal of Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra and abolition of NEET examination in Tamil Nadu.

The  Chair repeatedly urged the agitating members to go back to their seats and let the House function but in vain. Amid uproar and protest of opposition members, the Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Zubin Irani introduced the Prohibition of Child Marriage (Amendment) Bill 2021.

Earlier when the House met for the day ruckus witnessed during the Question Hour.

The members from Congress, DMK, TMC, and others were in the well-raising slogans demanding removal of Minister of State for Home, Ajay Kumar Mishra. DMK members were protesting against the NEET examination.  Speaker Om Birla repeatedly urged order in the House but the protesting members did not pay heed. As the ruckus continued, Mr. Birla adjourned the House till 2 PM.
