3-member World Bank team appreciates J&K govt, its Economic Reconstruction Agency

A three-member team of the World Bank has appreciated the Jammu and Kashmir Government and its Economic Reconstruction Agency for bringing around a dramatic turnaround in the implementation of the World Bank-funded Jhelum Tawi Flood Recovery Project.

The team led by Practice Manager of Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management of South Asia Region, Abhas Jha is on a two-day visit to the Union Territory.

Speaking at a meeting in Srinagar yesterday to review the progress of World Bank-funded 250 million dollar project, Mr Abhas said, J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency as an organisation has done something beyond the call of duty to bring dramatic turnaround in the project implementation.

He said, the excellent job done by the agency in various sectors will have long-term positive impact for many generations to come.
