BJP President J P Nadda has set up a five member fact-finding committee to visit the place of rape and murder of a minor girl at Hanskhali, Nadia in West Bengal. The committee comprising of MP Rekha Verma and UP Minister Baby Rani Maurya has been asked to submit it’s report at the earliest.
BJP West Bengal state president Sukanta Majumder has said the CBI will investigate it’s own way and that BJP will not interfere anyway in the investigation process but the whole country should know exactly what the situation is like in the state. When the representatives of different states come and see, everyone will know what kind of anarchy has been created in Bengal, he added.
The members of the fact-finding committee are party’s vice president and MP Rekha Verma, Uttar Pradesh government minister Baby Rani Maurya, Tamil Nadu MLA Vanathi Srinivasan, who is also BJP women wing head, Kushbu Sunder, and West Bengal MLA Sreerupa Mitra Choudhury. The victim, a class 9 student, died after she was allegedly gang-raped at a birthday party at the house of the accused on 5th April. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee recently triggered a row after expressing doubt about the cause of the girl’s death.
