In IPL Cricket, Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Rajasthan Royals at MCA Stadium in Pune at 7.30 p.m. today.
Last night, Punjab Kings beat Chennai Super Kings by 11 runs at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Chasing a victory target of 188 runs, Chennai made 176 for the loss of six wickets in stipulated 20 overs.
Earlier, put in to bat, Punjab posted 187 for four wickets in 20 overs riding on flamboyant opener Shikhar Dhawan’s brilliant unbeaten knock of 88 runs in 59 balls. Dhawan also became only the second batter after Virat Kohli to complete 6,000 runs in IPL history.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans are currently on top of the points table with 12 points from seven matches that include six wins and a defeat. Sun Risers Hyderabad are in second position, followed by Rajasthan Royals in third and Lucknow Super Giants in fourth spot. Royal Challengers Bangalore occupy fifth place, followed by Punjab Kings in sixth and Delhi Capitals in seventh position. Kolkata Knight Riders are eighth in the table, followed by CSK in ninth and Mumbai Indians, who are yet to win a match this season, at the bottom of the table.
