The special Gram sabhas were today held across all 237 panchayats of Doda District to formulate Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) for the financial year 2023-24.
District Development Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan, visited to several gram sabhas and witnessed the proceedings. The Prabhari officers for the panchayats also interacted with PRIs and the Public while discussing the GPDP.
The DDC participated in the Gram Sabhas at Panchayat Paryote of Block Khellani and Panchayat Pranoo of Block Bhalla. The DDC also interacted with Prabhari Officers and Gram Sabhas of 20 panchayats through virtual mode and shared his opinion for the effective formulation of GPDP 2023-24. He emphasized formulation of the plan, keeping in consideration the betterment of the whole panchayat. He urged the people to take maximum benefit from all government schemes designed to uplift the socio-economic status of the rural people. He also stressed the PRIs and the public to keep the panchayats clean and drug free.
The main objective of the special gram sabhas held in 237 panchayats was to give the final touch to the GPDP plan aimed at economic development and social justice for communities and utilization of the available resources. The DDC was accompanied by ACD, Phulail Singh, ACP, Ashfaq Khanji and other officers.
