Arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha reviewed at Bandipora

BANDIPORA, AUGUST 09: A joint meeting of Officers and representatives of traders’ federation, Bandipora was held here today under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner, to review the arrangements being put in place by the district administration for the smooth celebration of ensuing Eid-ul-Azha.

The meeting held threadbare discussion to ensure maximum facilities to the people and officers were directed to gear up their field functionaries and implement all decisions in letter and spirit.

During the meeting, the officers were directed to ensure proper supply of powers, water, transport, and ration. The Executive Officer Municipal Committee Bandipora, Sumbal and Hajin were directed to launch a sanitation drive in respective Eidgahs and town areas.

Health department was asked to keep ambulance and para-medical staff available to meet out any exigency.

ARTO and police department will arrange one-way traffic and parking of vehicles at Bandipora and Ahamsharif.

Chief Animal Husbandry Officer informed that Mobile van carrying poultry birds with Rs 5 discount from market rate will be kept available at Sumbal, Hajin, Bandipora, and Kaloosa.

Market checking squads comprising of Revenue, police, food supply, food safety, health and LMD Officers will regularly inspect all markets of the district especially town markets for strict implementation of Essential Commodities Act and other Consumer Acts.

Among others, CMO, CAHO, Executive Officers, Executive Engineers attended the meeting.
