Kumbh Mela administration gears up for next Shahi Snan on 10th February

In Uttar Pradesh, the Kumbh Mela administration is gearing up for next Shahi Snan on 10th of February on the occasion of Basant Panchami. Speaking at a press conference at Prayagraj, Mela officials said that all preparations are being put in place for the next holy dip. More than 5 crores 50 lakh devotees took holy dip on  Mauni Amavasya. As of now, more than 13 crore devotees have taken bath in Kumbh 2019.

DIG Kumbh Mela KP Singh said that with the help of devoted teams of police personnel almost all lost persons were reunited with their family members.

‘Kumbh ke bichhde’ -lost in Kumbh are now old days stories of Bollywood films. The entire scenario has been changed with new technology and new system applied at 15  ‘lost and found centres’ -Khoya Paya kendras established at the 3200-hectare widespread area of Kumbh Prayagraj.

Kumbh Mela DIG said Almost 50 thousand people lost their companions while taking holy dip on Mauni Amavasya. Eighteen thousand three hundred got registered at modernised ‘Lost and Found’ centres at Kumbh.  With the devotion and hard work of personnel on duty, Barring 70 stranded women and one child all felt happy after reunion with their family.
