Union Home Minister Amit Shah has directed security and intelligence agencies to further strengthen efforts to prevent infiltration and tackle emerging threats to national security. He also called for greater use of artificial intelligence and advanced technology to identify and counter security challenges more effectively.
During a review of the country’s security situation, Shah stressed the need for close coordination among different agencies and urged them to remain alert to attempts at infiltration. He said every possible measure should be taken to strengthen surveillance and prevent activities that could pose a threat to the nation’s security.
The Home Minister also highlighted the growing role of technology in modern security operations. He called for the effective use of artificial intelligence, data analysis and other technological tools to detect suspicious activities, assess threats and support faster decision-making.
Shah emphasised that security agencies must continuously adapt to changing methods used by those seeking to threaten national security. He encouraged agencies to strengthen their technological capabilities and improve coordination so that potential threats can be identified and addressed at an early stage.
He also reviewed measures being taken along vulnerable areas and stressed the importance of maintaining a strong security mechanism. The directions are aimed at making the country’s security framework more responsive to both traditional threats such as infiltration and newer challenges emerging from rapidly evolving technology.
Shah said sustained vigilance, better coordination and the smart use of technology would be crucial in safeguarding national security and ensuring that security agencies remain prepared to deal with emerging threats.
