New Delhi, October 14: The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a bonus equivalent to 78 days’ wages for around 11.41 lakh eligible railway employees, recognising their contribution to the Railways’ performance in the financial year 2025–26.
The Productivity Linked Bonus will cost Rs 2,009.61 crore, with each eligible employee receiving up to Rs 17,951. The announcement comes ahead of the festive season, giving railway workers and their families an additional financial boost.
The government said the Railways performed well during the year. The annual payment acknowledges employees’ efforts and aims to encourage further improvements in productivity and efficiency across the railway network.
