Hyderabad, October 15: Shai Hope’s unbeaten century and Keemo Paul’s five-wicket haul powered West Indies to a 24-run victory over India in the fourth T20 International on Wednesday. The result levelled the five-match series at 2–2.
Hope struck 102 from 50 balls as the visitors piled up 247 for three. His knock featured four boundaries and nine sixes, while Sherfane Rutherford provided support with an unbeaten 49.
Chasing 248, India made a brisk start through Sanju Samson, who smashed 56 off just 23 deliveries. Paul turned the contest by removing Samson and Ishan Kishan in the same over, putting the hosts under pressure.
Tilak Varma scored 43, but regular wickets prevented India from keeping pace with the demanding target. Paul returned to claim three wickets in the 19th over and finished with figures of five for 41.
