At least five people were killed and several others injured after a drone strike hit a busy market in Tokmak, a town in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, local authorities said.
The attack occurred during business hours when the market was crowded with shoppers and vendors, causing significant casualties and damage to nearby stalls and buildings.
Emergency services rushed to the scene to rescue the injured, extinguish fires, and clear debris, while medical teams provided treatment to those affected.
Officials condemned the strike, describing it as an attack on civilians, and said investigations were underway to assess the full extent of the damage and casualties.
