A collision between two helicopters near Mount Everest has prompted an investigation by Nepal’s Civil Aviation Authority.
The accident occurred as Fishtail Air and Air Dynasty helicopters approached a landing area at Pheriche. An Indian passenger died, while another passenger and two pilots sustained injuries.
The regulator said further action would depend on the investigation’s findings. Fishtail Air confirmed the passenger’s death and said his remains had been taken to Kathmandu for a post-mortem examination.
