New Delhi, October 14: Around 11.41 lakh eligible railway employees will receive a Productivity Linked Bonus equivalent to 78 days’ wages following approval by the Union Cabinet on Wednesday. The payment relates to the financial year 2025–26 and recognises employees’ contribution to the Railways’ performance.
The government has approved Rs 2,009.61 crore for the bonus, with a maximum payment of Rs 17,951 per eligible employee. Coming ahead of the festive season, the announcement will provide an additional financial boost to railway workers and their families.
According to the government, the Railways performed well during 2025–26. The annual bonus acknowledges the work of its employees and is intended to encourage further improvements in productivity and efficiency.
