Srinagar, October 21: Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat on Wednesday warned that people supporting terrorism would be traced and brought to justice, reaffirming the police’s resolve to dismantle terror networks in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on Police Commemoration Day, Prabhat said nobody involved in supporting terrorism could evade the law by going into hiding.
He urged people to preserve communal harmony, build mutual trust and assist security forces in protecting peace. Public vigilance and cooperation, he said, were essential to prevent attempts to create unrest.
The DGP also called for stronger measures against crimes targeting women, children and vulnerable people, alongside timely justice for victims. He sought intensified action against drug trafficking to protect young people and families.
Remembering personnel killed on duty, Prabhat said creating a safer and more peaceful Jammu and Kashmir would honour their sacrifices. He also stressed continued support for their families.
