<p><strong>Srinagar:</strong> Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir has reiterated that maintaining peace and public order remains a top priority for the police, saying there would be no compromise on the safety and security of people in the Valley.</p>
<p>The IGP said the police and other security agencies are closely monitoring the situation across Kashmir and are taking necessary measures to ensure that peace and normalcy are maintained. He stressed that maintaining a peaceful environment is essential for the well-being of the people and the overall development of the region.</p>
<p>He said the police would continue to remain vigilant and respond promptly to any situation that could disturb public order. At the same time, efforts would be made to ensure that people can carry out their daily activities without fear or disruption.</p>
<p>The IGP also emphasised the importance of cooperation from the public in maintaining peace. He urged citizens to remain alert, avoid rumours and rely on verified information instead of unconfirmed reports circulating on social media.</p>
<p>According to the police chief, maintaining law and order requires coordination among different agencies as well as cooperation from local communities. He said the police would continue to engage with the public and address security-related concerns through appropriate measures.</p>
<p>The IGP reiterated that while the security situation is being continuously reviewed, the primary focus remains on protecting lives, maintaining public order and ensuring a peaceful environment throughout Kashmir.</p>
