<p><strong>New Delhi:</strong> External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has stressed the need for BRICS countries to work collectively to address economic challenges and create a more resilient and balanced global economic environment.</p>
<p>Speaking on the role of BRICS, Jaishankar said member countries have an important responsibility to strengthen economic cooperation and find practical solutions to the difficulties facing the global economy. He highlighted the need for greater coordination among emerging economies at a time of growing economic uncertainties.</p>
<p>The minister said BRICS has evolved into an important platform for countries representing a significant share of the world’s population and economy. He emphasised that the grouping should use its collective strength to promote cooperation and support sustainable economic growth.</p>
<p>Jaishankar also pointed to the changing nature of global economic relations, saying that countries need to work together to address issues affecting trade, investment, supply chains and economic development.</p>
<p>He stressed that stronger cooperation among BRICS members could help create new opportunities for trade and investment while making economies better prepared to deal with future disruptions.</p>
<p>The External Affairs Minister said India would continue to play a constructive role within BRICS and support initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation among member countries. He also underlined the importance of ensuring that the interests and concerns of developing economies receive adequate attention in global economic discussions.</p>
<p>Jaishankar’s remarks come as BRICS continues to expand its role in international affairs, with economic cooperation remaining one of the key areas of focus for the grouping.</p>
