The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has designated 23 Pakistan-based terrorists as individual terrorists under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), strengthening India’s efforts to curb cross-border terrorism.
According to official sources, 11 of the designated terrorists are natives of Jammu and Kashmir who are currently operating from Pakistan and are allegedly involved in planning and executing terrorist activities in the Union Territory.
The move enables authorities to initiate stricter legal action against the individuals, including freezing their assets, restricting financial support, and intensifying efforts to dismantle terror networks.
The listed terrorists are accused of recruiting local youth, facilitating infiltration, arranging weapons and explosives, and coordinating attacks through various Pakistan-based terror outfits.
The government said the action reflects its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and its continued commitment to safeguarding national security by targeting individuals involved in cross-border militant activities.
