New Delhi: Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan has encouraged students to keep upgrading their skills and stay prepared for the rapid changes taking place in technology and the job market.
Speaking to students, he said education should not be limited to textbooks and classroom lessons. Young people, he said, need to keep learning, explore new areas and develop skills that can help them deal with changing career requirements.
The Vice President said technology is developing at a fast pace and is changing the way people study, work and communicate. Students should understand these changes and learn how to use new tools effectively instead of being hesitant about them.
He also stressed that technical knowledge alone is not enough. Communication, creativity, teamwork, discipline and the ability to solve problems are equally important as students prepare for their careers.
Radhakrishnan urged students to make the most of digital resources and emerging technologies for learning and innovation. He said young people should use technology to find practical solutions to problems and contribute to society.
He also spoke about the responsibility of students in shaping the country’s future. With India’s young population forming a major part of its workforce, he said education and skill development will have an important role in the country’s continued progress.
The Vice President’s remarks come as technologies such as artificial intelligence and automation continue to change workplaces. For students entering the workforce, staying updated and being willing to learn new skills will be increasingly important.
